Firm Roots Cancer Support Group meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month. These meetings are held at lunch time from 12 til 1.30 pm at Cafe Connect, St Mark’s Church, St Marks Road, Saltney, Chester, Cheshire CH4 8DE. Anyone is welcome - come along for coffee, lunch, friendship and encouragement in a relaxed, informal environment . People coming to our groups include those who have a cancer diagnosis, family and friends supporting someone through cancer and oncology staff. People from all different denominations attend and we also welcome people who do not attend church or are unsure about faith, but who would like to receive prayer and encouragement as they go through cancer. Each group meets monthly and has a prayer list for local people affected by cancer. Do feel free to contact the group and ask them to pray for you, even if you cannot make the meetings.
